Under construction

There are numerous language forms and groups in the Uralic language family that have not been assigned ISO 3 or 5 codes. Language code assignment presupposes at least some activity on the part of the language research community.
Below are some languages with literary traditions, where the absence of ISO codes affects documentation as found in library cateloguing. Absence of ISO codes also make searching and accessing a more time consuming effort.

Missing codes should be discussed before applying for ISO assignment.
Is the distinction Finno-Volgaic, based on geographic proximaty, an actual part of an objective taxonomy?
Is the distinction Eastern-Samic vs. Western-Samic necessary when Northern Sámi falls in the grey area?
Is the distinction Eastern Balto-Finnic, Western Balto-Finnic and Southern Balto-Finnic necessary? How should we deal with the (artificial) extensively normed Finnish and Estonian languages?
Are Erzya and Shoksha members of the same macro language, or are they both siblings of Moksha?
URALIC:FINNO-UGRIAN:FINNO-VOLGAIC?:MORDVINIC:myv:ERZYA
URALIC:FINNO-UGRIAN:FINNO-VOLGAIC?:MORDVINIC:myv:SHOKSHA
vs.
URALIC:FINNO-UGRIAN:FINNO-VOLGAIC?:MORDVINIC:ERZYA
URALIC:FINNO-UGRIAN:FINNO-VOLGAIC?:MORDVINIC:MOKSHA
URALIC:FINNO-UGRIAN:FINNO-VOLGAIC?:MORDVINIC:SHOKSHA
either way Shoksha needs a code for 1930 cateloguing.
The Ob-Ugrian languages need to be discussed.
