In December 2008, I defended my doctoral dissertation
Univariate, bivariate and multivariate methods in corpus-based lexicography. A study of synonymy
, receiving my Ph.D degree in January 2009.
Starting January 2010, I'm a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the
Department of Modern Linguistics
, University of Helsinki.
During the academic years 2010–2012, I'm also a Visiting Post-doctoral Fellow at the
Department of Linguistics
, University of Alberta, in Edmonton, Canada, the last academic year as formally affiliated with the UoA.
Since 2004, a language-technology consultant for
Enkidu Ltd.
(fully owned by myself).
I've also been part-time lecturer at Helsinki University and in
LANGNET
– the Finnish Graduate School in Language Studies – the last full course I taught was in Autumn 2008 and concerned
