Registration for the
2009 Annual Meeting and Conference of the Gypsy
Lore Society
Preregistration for the conference starts on April 30, 2009.
You should preregister by sending an e-mail with your (1) name, (2) affiliation and
(3) contact information to fgk at ling dot helsinki dot
fi. The preregistration deadline for accepted
speakers is May 14, 2009, for other
participants August 5, 2009.
Registration on spot starts on
Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 10 a.m. in the aula
on the third floor of the Main Building of the
University of Helsinki, Fabianinkatu 33 (one block
north of the green circle on this map).
The conference fee is normally 50
euros, but 20 Euros
for full-time undergraduate and MA students,
and Ph.D. students without salary or a grant. The fee will be
collected in cash on spot upon registration. Late registration
fees (40 euros, 100 euros) pertain for those
registering after August 5, 2009.
The Meeting will be opened on Thursday, August 27, 2009, at
1pm sharp (13.00) by its Patron, Mrs. Tarja Halonen,
President of the Republic of Finland. President
Halonen has for a long time been
active promoting the social conditions and status
of Roma in Finland. We kindly ask all
participants to plan their trip so that they can
be seated in Auditorium 5 at 12.50 pm on that Thursday.
