Note: There are no specific prerequisites for clt361. It is not necessary to know Java or Python. The course is designed for students who have a knowledge of general linguistics or English linguistics including syntactic theory. The course will be difficult for students who have no previous experience of writing grammar rules. Such students should study for example clt233 (NLP Parsing Methods) before taking clt361.
