Practical work: Editing SVG
- Copy Chase's examples rectangle.svg, path.svg, shapes.svg, text.svg, gradients.svg to your Windows folder. View the files in Firefox.
- Using jEdit, make small changes to the SVG files in Chase's examples and view the results in Firefox. (All Chase's examples are available here).
Practical work: Transforming Sonnet 130 to SVG
- Check you have subfolders "in", "out" and "xslt" in your Windows folder.
  Copy sonnet130.xml and sonnet.dtd to "in".
  Copy Tidwell's sonnet-svg.xsl stylesheet (updated by A. Trux) to "xslt".
- In jEdit's XSLT plugin panel, transform sonnet130.xml using sonnet-svg.xsl. Save the output in "out" as sonnet130.svg.
  View the SVG version of the sonnet in Firefox.
