[ANN] SLTC 2008: Call for participation and registration



REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR

The Second Swedish Language Technology Conference (SLTC 2008)
November 20-21, 2008

The Second Swedish Language Technology Conference (SLTC-08) will be held
in Stockholm at KTH, November 20-21, 2008, organized by the Human
Language Technology Center at KTH and Uppsala University, with support
from the Swedish Graduate School of Language Technology (GSLT).

INVITED SPEAKERS

Ina Bornkessel-Schlesewsky, Max-Planck Institute, Leipzig
Julia Hirschberg, Columbia University, New York
Hermann Ney, RWTH, Aachen

PROGRAM

Accepted papers cover aspects of language technology, including natural
language processing, speech technology and relevant neighboring areas.
The papers describe completed or ongoing research, as well as practical
applications of language technology, and several presentations are
combined with system demonstrations.

- NLP for Reading and Writing - Resources Algorithms and Tools
- Swedish Language Technology Infrastructure: Prospects, Progress and Problems
- Unsupervised Methods in NLP
