NODALI: Workshop: Multilinguality in Retrieval, Search and Lexicography

-- NODALI --
Workshop: The Automatic Treatment of Multilinguality in Retrieval,
  Search and Lexicography

Place: University of Copenhagen, Njalsgade 128, 2300 Copenhagen S
Room: 23.4.39
Date: Thursday 26 April, 2007

Multilingual information retrieval is currently a research topic
attracting much international attention. In the Nordic countries where
almost everybody has passive knowledge of their neighbours' languages
information retrieved in a language different from the query language is
a particularly interesting phenomenon. Therefore, the Nordic Council of
Ministers has initiated some research projects aiming at the development
of automatic methods for developing bi- and multi-lingual dictionaries
and terminologies to be used in cross-lingual search and retrieval.

The aim of this workshop is to discuss the results of these research
projects and other new and ongoing research in this area with external
experts and other specialists with interest in dictionary and
terminology construction and multilingual search and retrieval.

Workshop fee
Participation in the workshop and lunch are free of charge.
