CALL FOR ORGANIZATION PROPOSALS
TENTH BIENNIAL ICGI CONFERENCE (ICGI 2010)

The International Community in Grammatical Inference (ICGI) invites
proposals for the organization of its 2010 event.

ICGI 2010 will be the tenth in a series of successful biennial
international conferences in the area of grammatical inference.
Previous meetings were held in Essex, UK; Alicante, Spain;
Montpellier, France; Ames, Iowa, USA; Lisbon, Portugal; Amsterdam, The
Netherlands; Athens, Greece; Tokyo, Japan; Saint Malo, France.

The purpose of this call is to invite groups interested in hosting and
maintaining the scientific standard of the conference to submit
proposals.

Prospective organizers of ICGI 2010 are asked to submit a short
_expression_ of interest.  This should briefly specify the following
points:
 - organizing committee (including general chair, scientific chair,
   local chair)
 - (preliminary) programme committee
 - location and venue
 - conference dates
 - plans for co-location with other conferences (if any)

Groups interested in organizing ICGI 2010 should contact Menno van
Zaanen (mvzaanen AT uvt.nl), chairman of the ICGI steering committee,
before 31 January 2009, expressing their interest to do so.  The
proposal will be then made to the ICGI steering committee, who will
decide by 28 February 2009.  The steering committee may ask for
additional information before making its final decision.
